ok..... what's the difference between dexron/mercon 11 and 111?Is it like gear lube(GL3,GL4,GL5)?

I have heard that it's a difference in weights.
M/D II is 5W-20
M/D III is 0W-20.

The M/D III is backward compatable with M/D II, but the III flows better when cold. It's good for cold climates.
