88 4.0l BA-10 253k

Try to start, it will pop and fire and spit and sputter. After cranking 5 or 6 times of 5 second intervals, it will start up, rev to 2k, run for around 5 seconds, and drop down to 750 rpm. If I try to step on the accelerator, it will cough sputter and die. If you let it idle it will idle for a minute, then just die out.

Almost sounds like you got a tank of bad gas.

I filled up about 80 miles ago. Got a full tank, it was almost empty beforehand.

I drove it 150 miles on Sat. Parked it, didn't try and start it until Wed. that is when it started acting up.

sounds a little like when I had a problem with my fuel pump electrical (some wire had snuck out of it's loom and was grounding). If you let it just sit, will it idle at 750 indefinitely, or will it still die after a few minutes?

UpDate!!! It will die out after a minute or so.

Checked for pinched fuel lines, and loose or grounded wiring, didn't have any.

Attached the fuel pressure tester to it. Got 14 psi, the factory manual says 31 psi is correct. Removed the hose, to test regulator. It stayed at 14 psi.

Changed fuel filter, didn't help

Thinking fuel pump???
