Does anyone know of a company that makes a radio that can be used hands-free. Maybe something with VOX circuitry. I need to be able to talk on the radio without using my hands, so I some kind of headset that hooks into the radio and allows me to talk without pressing any buttons.
Thanks,
Robert

If you snag one of those little hand-held car-mount units (like Cobra HH45WX - you're just looking for a device that has a speaker/mic jack) there are headsets (not the best price, but

VOX CB operation is not too popular in the states -- the Aussies have access to the Uniden UH 089 and the UH 090 - which has integrated VOX.
For fun look at the Motorcycle world -- units like the Autocom (UK) http://www.autocomamerica.com/index.asp (US) can be had affordably and can integrate several things --
Be sure to research anything that you do buy - little pesky things like the way that Midland manages their microphone polariety may hose-up the the external stuff like the Autocom or the MA-Vox. Also, be sure that you can return stuff - in my experience, some of these low-end VOX set-up s that don't have envirnomental intput for A-Vox either end-up tripping all the time, or never tripping due to sensitivity issues (them Jeeps make a mess of noise on the inside as does the wind across a helmet)...

You can either get a handheld unit and a handfree handset or take a mobil unit and wire into a handset mike a handfree headset...
