when starting from a stop, i feel this little 'slip'... like the tire slips a couple inches. no noise associated with it. i thought it might be the seat slipping back, but the seat seems to be solid. i don't notice it on braking. i've had this 2000 XJ for a year and it isn't getting worse. nothing is modified, new tires, no limited slip axle. i just had the thought that it might be a loose axle to spring connection? is this likely? how would i check for this? jack it up by the springs and yank around on the axle? or might this be a transmission slip? its an automatic 4speed.
