I'm getting a set of rubicons wheels and i need some solid info.
I'm currently looking at getting a RE6025 3" lift.
Will this work with the rubicons?
Please note that the rubicons have the stocker tires on them
from a Wrangler.
Will this lift be good enough on my 01 XJ?
I also like to go 4 wheeling sometimes. Will this also cause any
plroblems?

I've done a few searches and came up with mixed results.
Also some of the jeeps where older.

if the stock wrangler tires on the rubicons are 31"s then the 3" lift will look pretty good. make sure you post pics when your done. i saw a wagoneer with the same setup and it looked pretty sweet!

I currently have a 3" rancho lift on my '93 w/ 32's. Had to do a little fender trimming in front but otherwise everything fit. Hope to see how your rig turns out!

They will fit just fine and will clear pretty well. Just don't forget to adjust your bumpstops. Try Ed A. Stevens' page (http://members.aol.com/Stvns/) for info on fitment of 31's...

In my experience RE 3" is alot bigger than Rancho 3"
dont ask me why ??
RE like to underestimate the actaull lift that their systems give..
I would venture to say that he will endup with at least 4" if not 4.5"
and hes gonna run 31's i doubt he will need to trim
specially if he doesnt bother with the sway bar disconnects ..

Niko are you going to disconnect the sway bar :repair:
if you go 4 wheelin???

it will help for convienience, but you dont need them- i just installed a rusty's 3" kit, and i used wing nuts when hooking the front sway bar back up; quick disco's :) i simply ditched the rear sway bar altogether, its useless- btw 31's w/3" fit fine and look pretty good too

make friends with this guy (http://www.naxja.org/forum/search.php?) here

he knows a lot about this type of thing...

the RE lift is a good soild entry way into the path of despair and carnage...

i started with an used RE lift around october last year.... and my rig is fast approaching trail rig status...

I wheel all the time with a guy that runs that same setup, same wheels and tires, on a '99 XJ. It works great for him, although he gets a little tire rub at full flex, it's just noise. It will be loud on the highway, upgrade your stereo speakers.
