Door Fitment

Will the doors from a '96 XJ fit a '90 XJ?

I always thought they were swapable up until '97. But the junkyard is telling us they wont fit anything before a '94.

I cant find anything that tells me if they will work or not.

Not gospel truth, but I swear I recall discussions here... saying that the "body mods" (such as, beefing up the door hardware) were made a couple of years before the '97 restyling.

This might lend some credibility to what the junkyard is telling you.
