Alright, i'm going to be buying a 4.5 RE tomorrow and I haven't decided on the shocks yet... I'm looking for something that does good both on n off road since it still is my daily driver, but I wheel quite a lot so I would also like it to do pretty good while wheeling...

I was thinking old man emu's or Rancho 9000s,

opinions please...

what is your budget? Bypass shocks are good for extended off-roading. Mono-tube shocks are goodnuff for regular wheeling, any racing whoops or fast, bumpy driving may blow them. rebuildable shocks are good for this, king, fox etc.

I have the RE 4.5" (with spacers to compensate for the winch). I had the DT300os but they were way to soft for my tastes. I now have the OMEs and I can't imagine buying a different shock ever again.

Check out some Bilstiens. I've heard nothing but good things about them.

And like these other people have said, OMEs are a winner all around.
