Is this a good upgrade or am I better off getting the RE tie rod?

It is a good and easy upgrade. They can also be found fairly cheap and tie rod ends and so forth are at any auto parts store.

Much bigger, I think it's an inch diameter or .875.

The tie rod is solid steel instead of tubing.
