Oil Light coming ON

When I come to a stop on a slight incline (stop light on drive home every night) my oil light flickers. Can also happen after gunning her to pass someone and then having to stop at a light or sign. Its an auto and if I put it in park the light stays off, then put it in drive and it flickers again. Oil is full, what should I look into? Sensor , pump , what else??

PS I did search but keep on finding questions from those that have gauges.

Buy a cheap mechanical gauge and see what the pressure really is. Until you do that, you are just guessing.

OLDMAN,
Where do I hook up a guage?

In place of the oil pressure sender (that's on the oil filter adapter), if you're doing it temporarily or replacing the idiot light altogether, or tee off that port if you're adding it as a permanent addition to the idiot light. It's a standard 1/8 inch pipe thread.

Thanks
