Hi, Just signed up to the forum.. Live in the UK and own a 2000 XJ Turbo Diesel Orvis, Im a jeep newbie by the way.
Ok here goes the jeep has 66K miles on it, I was going to change the oil in the rear diff. With the rear end of the jeep lifted on axle stands. I was checking the rear wheels. I noticed that there is some play on both rear wheels, when gripping the tyre from top to bottom the wheel can be rocked quite a bit. Does this suggest that the rear wheel bearings need to be replaced? I have checked the front wheels and there is no play on those. All the play is on the rear wheels. Hope someone can advise me.
