I've installed an 8.25 SOA in my MJ and have the driveshaft setup similar to stock with no TC drop. Both ujoints are currently setup to operate at 14º, is this acceptable?

I read on POR and other sites that 30º is maximum operating angle for the 1310 ujoint, and they recommended less than half of max for a constant operating angle. Any opinions on if this is acceptable?

here's a chart I ran across some time ago that will give you an idea of the maximum operating angle relative to driveshaft RPM. Taking transmission gearing into consideration, it's not likely that your driveshaft will exceed 4,000 RPM at highway cruise speeds. Much less if it's a trail-only rig.

RPM Angle
5000 3.25º
4500 3.67º
4000 4.25º
3500 5.00º
3000 5.83º
2500 7.00º
2000 8.67º
1500 11.5º
