Turn signal problem

Hey guys -

I have a vexing problem with my turn signals in my 2001 Cherokee Sport I hope you can help me with before I take it in for service.

When I need to signal, the blinkers will blink once or twice, stop and perhaps blink a few more times intermittently if I am at a long light. Fuses are ok - I am guessing I have a short somewhere as this started after a recent thunderstorm (not sure if water is the culprit or not).

What about a new flasher? That might be something cheap to try.

What your volt meter reading?

Volt meter reading is in the normal range. I don't recall the exact reading.

It sounds like the voltage is dropping at idle with everything on.Watch the voltmeter you may be about ready for a battery.
