Ball Joints?

I have a bad wear problem on my right front tire that I suspected was from a bad ball joint but I don't know if thats the problem now. I've tried lifting that side and wiggling the wheel at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions, it's tight. Then I put the jack under the tire and jack it up and down to see if there was any vertical play and it's tight. The left front tire is fine. The right front is worn badly towards the inside edge and the surface of the rubber looks like it has scuff marks. My toe is set at 0 and it doesn't pull to that side.
It's a 91, AW4, 242, 30/8.25, with a RE 4.5" lift with 31" BFG AT's. Any ideas?
Can a ball joint be bad and I'm just not manly enough to move it around?

Tire wear on one edge is toe in incorrect. Balljoints will show as uneven tread wear sorta like it's wobbling, it wears in patches called cupping.
