AX5 t-case to AX15?

Will a 231 t-case from a four cylinder AX5 Wrangler have the necessary input shaft to bolt up to a AX15?

no, you will have to swap it

Depends on the year of the AX-15, I believe. The AX-5's NP231 should have a 21-spline input, but the other (from the AX-15) should be a 23-spline at least for later years.

My half of the question since I couldn't find it in Search...are the 21 and 23-spline input shafts intechangeable? If so, are there certain years that will or won't work with my '96 23-spline input?
