Anyone know if ZJ axles from a 96 D30 will work in our axles?
Do they come with the 297s or 260s?
I hate to ask on the "other" forums because of obvious reasons.
thanks if anyone can help

I think the ZJ's untill 97 or so had CV shafts. Similar to hondas and stuff with rubber boots. Im not sure about the WJ's. -Tim

My wife's '96 ZJ has joints......6 cyl. 242 case.... I believe they will work, but am not sure of the length of the shafts.........(TJ ones will work fine in an XJ as I've got them in the front of my XJ)

The 249 transfer case ZJ's have a 'CV' instead of a u-joint. I've never took the cover off of a set to take a look at them.

Yes, they'll work, and they should have 297x axle joints.

but they came in my xj. Some of the early xj's had booted cv axle shafts.
