I have a bone stock 1988 XJ. I need new bushing mounts for my front sway bar, but I don't know the diameter of my sway bar. The Autozone website lists 1", 15/16", 1 1/8", and 7/8" as possible sizes. How can I tell what size I need?

What do the calipers have to do with it?

Among other things, they are used to measure things including diameter - of swaybars.

If you don't have calipers, take a piece of string and measure the circumferance. Then divide it by 3.14 and you you have your diameter.

Or take a c-clamp and use it as an impromtu caliper
