Has anybody tried to swap the plastic cover/gear selector cover (the plastic that with the P, R,OD,D,1-2) from a newer, 97, xj into an older, 89, xj??
I got a deal an original back in december to replace my broken/missing one. Now it broke too, and the newer one in the pic by DXJ in his CB threat looks harder to break.
