i have the drag link out of a 1998 TJ and I was woundering if it will fit in my XJ.. the tj one look very alike just that its alot more beefy. is this gonna bolt into my xj?

You'd be better off to go with a TR from a V8 ZJ. Try a 1995 vintage.

If you're talking about the 95 in your profile then I'm 99.9% sure your eyes are playing tricks on you. I've seen a lot of draglinks from a lot of XJs (94 and up) and TJs...and they've all been the same size.
