I've read about double sealed pilot bearings and they seem like a good idea.I think it would help keep the grease in there longer for increased life. What do you guys think?
Did not realize that pilot bearings wearing out were a problem, my 1st one went over 165K miles....and was still good. Seems like someone trying to make an extra buck to me.
Pilot bearing? I have heard of pilot bushings and throwout bearings.
In general double sealed bearings are used where there are no grease fittings, single sealed bearings are use where they get lubed on the Non-sealed side.
