Hey all, i was just up the bloomsburg 4x4 jambo with my xj, came out and went to start my jeep and it was just dead, as if the battery was dead. I popped the hood and started jiggling some wires got back in and it started up. Started going down the road to come up and the battery gauge jumped all the way up to 19 and the check gauges light came on. Got home here, turned it off, tried to start it back up, and its dead. Any ideas?

Corroded battery cables or a bad alternator. Sounds like it is overcharging which means the voltage regulator in the alt is bad. Check both.
