Urgent Manual Tranny Help

Hey all, i FINALLY got the jeep running tonight, but i have NO clutch, the entire tranny was down, salave cylinder is bleed, the part that the slave cydliner pushes on (fork i think???) has a free play like 2" forward and back, is there a pivot point on the other side that it needs to be on, do i have to drop the tranny again???

i cant even come close to getting it into gear, grinds like all hell

What year, what engine? It sounds like you have an external slave cylinder, but it wouldn't hurt to know what you have before trying to answer the question.
