vac disco delete?

i snapped the inner inner passenger side axle shaft in my vac disco dana 30 this last weekend. the one that goes from the diff to the vacuum crap. my drivers side already has a 297x jointed shaft from a tj and i want to convert my long side to a non disco and use 297x joints on that side. i know i can get 95 yj outers and have 297x but i want to get rid of the vac disco. main reason being this, i found 5 people in disney that had a spare long side tj front shaft, but NONE with anything for the long side of a vac disco 30. plus im not real fond of the disco system to start with. ive searched naxja, pirate, JU, and a few other sites and cant find anything about doing the swap other than some people talking about it, but not accualy doing it. ive read warn makes a kit, and randys makes a kit, but i cannot find anything on either of their sites. so has anyone successfuly done this? and how do i do it? i can get a tj long side shaft for free to do this swap, i just need to know what seals i need,and if there is anything i need to do to the housing to get them to fit, and i can fab up my own block off plate to cover where the vacuum accuator was. thanks for your time.

I think you're the first one I've ever heard of breaking the disco side. Good luck on the swap.

If spare shaft availability among other wheelers is your biggest concern, just carry your own.
You should be doing that anyway.

The conversion is straight forward and easily done.
You're just a seal replacement and blockoff plate away.
This is discussed on a daily basis.

thanks for all the replys, i wish i had the money to be able to have spares of everything i might break with me, but since im a poor 18 year old with a truck payment its kind of a deal where i have to dig up money to fix stuff after i break it,when i get out of college and get a real job and start making some accualy money it will change tho.
