my "Brake" light came on the dash and doesn't go away. i did disconnect the e-brake cables recently (too short, will install YJ cables). where's the switch that turns the "Brake" light on when you put the e-brake on? or will something else cause the light to come on???
TIA

Check your brake fluid level. Sometimes, low fluid in the reservoire will cause the brake light to come on.

Ivan is right, that light is also used to indicate a problem in the hydraulic circuits. It means a pressure imbalance (the switch is on the prop valve.)

i was wondering if there was something else that can turn that light on. my master cyclinder is going bad (the fluid is bypassing the seals inside the bore)
just took it to the shop to replace it.
