placement of a CD unit...

I have a dvd/cd/mp3 unit that we use to entertain our kids in the back on long journeys...

Now it realy should be installed in the car, it's one of those one with seperate screen etc...

We've never installed it as we use it between two 4wd's... untill now...

I dont want to remove the original stereo in my 94xj sport, but has anyone installed an additional cd unit and where ?, as I also dont want it to be noticable to the light fingered people around...

I would hang it under the dash on the passengers side.It would be hard if not impossible to see looking in, depending on how you mount it. Plus it would be off of the floor and not stuck under a seat like some mounts I've seen. That means easier access and less chance of it getting water damage from water inside the rig. HTH!
