Alright, I picked up an 89 XJ pioneer Cheap b/c you have to either climb in the window or climb over the consol to drive it. I thought it would be a simple fix like a rod come loose or bent or something. However I wrestled the door panel off (hard to do with door shut) and have checked everything and cant seem to get it open with any amount of force. I even pulled the levers which I beleve to be the latching/locking mechanism on the latch itself and nothing. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I cannot seem to get the door open at all.
