'98 dodge stratus won't start.

My wife has a '98 dodge stratus and sometimes it wont start but if I put a little oil in it. It will fire right up. does anyone know if they have a sensor or something? I has happened 5 times in the past 4years. And everytime I put in a little oil and it fires right up any ideas?
