My neighbor...

I was working on my 63 J300 last weekend, when my neighbor stops by with her Wagoneer (XJ). She asks me if I could help her replace the battery. As I open the hood, she says "I need a new serpentine belt". Usually when I hear something like that I take it as the old one is in bad shape. When I opened the hood - No serpentine belt! She had been driving around with no waterpump (seized and chewed up the old one), alternator, PS... She said that her boyfriend told her not to drive for long distances!

I have a new respect for the 4.0...
