Well, just got done watching the Willie and Friends B-day special on USA. Some darn fine music no matter what sort of genre you're into. Gets me all jacked up to go and see him play in a short while. I got that good time feelin' and felt like sharin'.

Are you going to see The Dead with Willie at Summerfest here in Milwaukee. If you do, this transplanted Ohioan has room for ya. Let me know. Also camping for Phish at Alpine July 17 and 18.

Sorry, no Milwaukee for me. I saw the Dead Family Reunion at Alpine, nice venue for sure. I'll be seeing Phish at Deercreek and then I'm going to The IT up in Maine.

The IT is a definite possibility. I will keep you informed. I was there a few years ago and loved it. Hasta.

Anyone else think Willie looked a bit uneasy during Toby Keith and that other guy's(sorry don't remember his name) song about smokin weed with Willie?? That song cracked me up, and I agree, definately a good showing in general. Peace

I'd feel uneasy if I had to hang out with Toby Keith or any of the other "modern country" crowd too.

who in the heck is that Wyclef Jean dude?? And exactly what did a "rapper/reggae" guy have to do with Willie???? This was the dude singing about smoking weed with Willie.

i saw the willie and friends, he always puts on a good show. hell i even like the xm radio commercials.
whats the deal w/ IT? will it be something different from the wheel and the went? i know ill sound like an oldman but back in 1998 i think i had to pony up about 65 bucks for 6 sets (lemonwheel) of music. now prices have doubled and i wonder what more they are offering.

old man meaning i was talking about ticket prices doubling....kinda like "i remember when you could get a 6 pack of rolling rock for .99 and schaffer for .79" not the 1998 catch. despite the ticket price if they have any combination of normal august maine weather, a ferris wheel, open air market/ shakedown st on the main runway, and good local beers for sale it should be a good time.
