Vacuum canister/front fender

Has anyone found a replacement vacuum canister for older ('89) xj.
Called dealer to get new replacement and was told it was no longer avail. Am I relegated to junk yard/salvage or is their something else that will work.
BTW: Am losing fan power on acceleration and haven't had cruise for some time.

You ought to be able to use one for any later model. The 95 looks just the same. As far as I know they're all interchangeable. If you have cruise yours probably has two chambers, so try to get one for another cruise-equipped model. Your dealer doesn't have much imagination.

I'd still look at the junkyard, but be careful because sometimes the cracks or holes can be inconspicuous, especially around the mounting feet.
