Vibration and Grinding

Bare with me on this.

My 96 XJ vibrates at about 23 to 25 mph and doesn't stop until around 45 mph. Once I am on the road it drives fine with no vibration and no wobble with no grinding.

Once I let off the gas just a little it will have a grinding noise (I think from the rear end but cannot tell) that is also intermittent. It will keep this up until i get to about 30 mph or below.

Things I have checked:
Rotated tires and balanced
Checked Ball Joints - OK
Checked all Fluids - OK
The drive shaft to the rear wheels seems to have some play.
The drive shaft to the Front wheels also have some play.
U-Joints look ok, I am going to change them anyway.
Rear tires have a very little play in them.

This is about as much as I know for now, when I do more checking I will update this.

Sounds like a rear u-joint to me. I've had it to where I had no slop on my driveshaft but the needles were gone in a u-joint. I'd say report back after you change em.
