I've been considering the Confederate (http://www.confederate.com)B91 Wraith. Anyone have any real world experience with these bikes? Or comments to contribute?

I would tell them to take a REAL picture.... one that people can see, not just some stupid crap. You are in BC... take him some Bud, get him stoned.... and then sneak in an American to take a REAL pictire. :)

No Kidding!!! I have been drooling over the '06 Wraith ever since the April edition of Motorcyclist was dropped at my door.
1. What is the '06 Wraith bringing anyway?
2. Converted to CN?

XTrmXJ... thats the deal I am looking for, I like those older imports w/ the headers sticking out the front.
As far as the confederate bike, that thing looks ugly.... couldnt find the specs on it. I dont understand these rediculously expensive bikes. $20+ grand for air cooled 2cyl, 2 wheels, and a frame... the biggest technology is disc brakes...other than that, its might as well be built in the 40's w/ a new paintjob... I dont get it.. I cant find the value in the resulting product...

Mine is a Honda CB750 Custom... There cheap on ebay or just look around in your area in the junk yards... Accually the big new news is fuel injection but the Customs havent gone that way yet, just the other bikes

LOL big new news...
I don't ride but I've always liked the older Honda CBs and the early 80s Kawa 750Gpz

Heres one with the extra fairing... I think it totally transforms the look
http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/kawasaki_gpz_750_1984.php
It's not really a cruiser... more of a sporty riding position than I think i'd want for a first bike... dunno... I'd like one to try and learn to ride on.
And then theres the Honda Hawk.... drool

all of which can be found in the range of 3-8K with plenty of life left.. and plenty of power....

XtrmXJ: Thanks, but no thanks. I could also have a custom built 1977 Cutlass made to look like a Saleen S7, but its not going to be the same car...
Edit: I did not mean to say that I'm not impressed with what you have done to that bike. It looks really good, its just not what I am looking for right now.

not sure about High-end.. I dont consider carburetors High-end.. on anything...
instead of spending $43K on that, I would get a Honda for about $10K, if you hold the specs up side by side, you wont see alot of High-End difference..
But this is all just my opinion, and you know what they say about those..
I would like to build a custom chopper, but I cant get past the price of v-twin engines and transmissions... when compared to automotive stuff....
that, and I think I missed my "motorcycle" phase, I figured if I started early enough I would have the confidence to ride alot. Now i am getting older and just thinking.. I could get really hurt... age and responsibilty can be a downer..

Those seats look like they need more triangulation... especially for Beej's sake :D
personally I think they're fugly and would rather drop that kinda bling on a chopper

I've never rode one but have talked with folks who have. Both are said to handle incredibly well but the Hellcat is the more comfy of the two. The front forks are also supposed to be a vast improvement over the normal forks of bikes.

Aaa!!! clawing my eyes out ugly!
I'd rather have a KTM 525 two-stroke with a pair of street wheels, and more money for tickets.
