installed spacers between the hinges and the hood

installed spacers between the hingesand the hood, a lot more heat comes out from there, but also noticed that hotter air than before blows through my vents inside the jeep. Does that make sense? Any opinions on doing that?

Yeah, the hot air is coming out from under your hood and into the cowl which feeds your fresh air vent.....

Visualize the rear edge of the hood raised up slightly.........


Ditto what Terry said. The vent pulls air from the slots below the windshield, so with the rear of the hood raised up you get hotter air in to the vents.
