Linkie no workie.

to put thing in a better light, I had a AW4 in a supra, 270HP, and NO fluid changes in 142K. Tranny fluid came out like Gear lube. Swapped the filter, and re-filled it, and no worries.

The AW4 is good for MANY miles....Almost bulletproof.

While I always thought, if it doesn't work don't fix it, you wouldn't want to blow your old tranny now that you got your new motor with more power than your tired old motor and driving it more enthusiastically with more trail time since you aren't as worried about your unreliable old motor leaving you somewhere. Its a case of while were at it... If you find a deal on a tranny and it fits your budget do it, otherwise I have seen jeeps with almost 300k on the original one aw4.

I've got over 330k miles on my AW4 and I haven't exactly been easy on it. I say if it isn't showing any problems, don't worry about it. AW4's are easy to find if you need it fast anyway. Change the tranny fluid every year or two depending on how much you drive and you should be good.
