Storing Parts....

I got a new alternator but I decided I want to wait to install it for a couple months and just put it on my new engine that I am getting soon. Would there be any probem sticking it in a box and just keeping it on the shelf in my closet?? It would be find right??

Shouldn't be a problem. If you live in a damp area, with high humidity you might want to put some dessicant in the box. But you probably don't have to.
