89 Oil Preasure gauge not responding ?

i bought this rig for cheap and it had a blown head gasket i am just wondering is that the reason the guage dosent move at all and its just stuck all thge way to the right ? i am just figing lil things hear and there till i get around to getting the head done ?

If the gauge is stuck all the way to the right (high), the problem could be a bad sending unit or grounded wiring. Disconnect the wiring connector from the sending unit and if the gauge drops to zero, replace the sending unit. If it doesn't, check the wiring.
