factory winch mount

so after reading through pages of info about factory winch mounts....i decided to go look under mine to see if by chance i was one of the lucky few. sure enough, my tow hook mounts have the extra holes and the L shaped brackets on the inside of the frame rails!! im more than likely gonna take the front bumper off and mount my mile marker 8000 pounder in there. ill probably build the rectangular shaped piece that goes in there to mount to the L brackets and then mount the winch to. anybody remember what size angle to use for that part? im thinking 2" angle, .25 thick.
