Just curious if anyone has converted a CO2 tank for OBA use.

I have a 20 lb tank sitting in the garage that was intended to be used for a Kegerator, but is just collecting dust.

What will I need, can it be used safely, etc.

Thanks

John

Essentially, you have a Power Tank. I see no reason why it can't be sued for OBA, but I don't know what you'd need for a regulator. Don't even know if you need one, but I assume you would.

It should have a relief valve already so all you need is the adapters to put a hose on it. You don't need a gauge or anything like that. Check this out

This is the exact setup that I am running

I was using a 10lb for a while I used a Soda regulator like 10-180 psi or something like that and a quick disconnect with polyurethane coil hose.. Dont use nylon coil it gets real hard with the cold from the CO2 decompressing.....

what do you guys think about using a paintball tank for this? its smaller, but maybe it would work as long as you don't try to use any air tools.
