I have a 1990 xj limited and it came with a 242 well i broke it so i figured i would swap a 231 into it cause parts are cheaper for them. i bought one at a junkyard(pulled it myself) it seemed like it was fine so i put it in my jeep and now it wont come out of 4 wheel drive it will click up and down 4 positions and in every position the front output shaft turns with the rear.
I pulled it out of an 89 with the vacuume switch will that make a difference since i dont have that? any input would be great thanks
