242 front output seal???

What type of seal is there on the front output of the 242? Mine is leaking and the yolk is throwing fluid over everything there.

Also is the bearing that is right there servicible without taking apart the whole case?

IIRC the front seal is a seal similar to the rear output seal. The bearing installs from inside the case not outside. If that’s not bad enough the rear bearing for the front output shaft is a real joy to do:mad: .
Make sure to clear up any front driveline vibes before you replace'em so they will last longer.
