Ok, as I promised, [just took me a bit ot get it done] here's a bit of a write-up of installing an overhead console. '91 into a '90 Pioneer to be exact. I know this gets asked quite a bit and seems many have questions etc in doing this, so thought I'd put this up in hopes to help others who wish to do this add-on.

Nice write up. I have a '90 Laredo with no console. Does my rig have the temp sensor and connector harness already in the vehicle somewhere?

That's the best OHC write up I have ever seen! Great job :paperwork

Thanks. I know a lot of questions get asked on this, myself included so thought this would be the easiest way to do it for anyone else doing this add-on.

Maybe yes, maybe no. Hard to say.
If you do, you'll find the temp sensor connector in the center behind the bumper, in front of the rad setup right at the bottom. It has two wires, and the rubber waterseal at least on mine was red. If you have the connector for the overhead, I just happened upon mine tucked way up about six inches or so in from the right edge of the dash. I'd never have found it if I didn't pull the lower dash, the A-pillar and the glove box door and surround. If it's there you'll see it's tucked right up going no where with the six wires for it.
With a bit of luck you'll find both already there ready to use.

Great write up. I am in the process of installing a OHC in my 96 Country. My wiring is diffrent .I believe my OHC is from a 89 or early 90. I will use th info here to figure it out.

Thanks. If you pulled the entire harness out, you can now easily see what colour the wires are.from the console compared to my '90's wiring. You'll just have to figure out your wire colours in the kick panel of the '96. Hopefully you'll have the connector hidden in the dash like I did to make it go a lot smoother. Then it's just plug'n'play for the console computer and the courtesy lights.
Good luck! Feel free to add what the wiring for the '96 is when you're finished. Someone can always use the info.
