I have a stange oil leaks that has been bothering me. Ther is oil coming from the back of the engine dropping down to the exhaust. Also it drips off of the front of the transmission. I have seen oil on the oil filter to. I checked the oil filter last time and made sure there wasnt an old gasket stuck on there. TIA

My initial reaction is to say the rear main seal, but your oil filter being oily disputes that. Check the oil pressure sending unit right above the oil filter.

How much oil are you losing per week?

It could be the O-rings in the oil filter adapter leaking and blowing onto the filter. rering set cost $5.00 at the stealership and took about 15 Minutes to replace...HO motors use a T-60 torx bit.
More details on request.

Very minimal. Maybe 1/4 of a quart.

I will try that first before I tear into the rear main.
