Pitman arm installation.

Does the pitman arm point to the front of the car or the rear when installing. Mine has been apart for several weeks i forgot.

I don't think you have a choice. Doesn't it have an indexed spline?

It points rearward. Since the splines are indexed, it will only go on one way. Get the box more or less centered (count revolutions lock to lock and go half way), and it will be fine, since both ends of the steering shaft are also indexed, so if you're anywhere close, it will end up right.
