rear hatch wiring?

Has anyone rewired thier rear hatch? My wiring between the hatch and the roof has some damage it dosent make sense to try to repair it the repaired area would be too bulky and wouldnt stay dry. Is it possible to fish the portion of the harness that is damaged in and out of the hatch in one piece or will I have to cut off the ends and splice them back together after I get the new wiring ran into the hatch?

Yes it can be done. I have replaced my harness. Picked up a decent harness from the wrecking yard. It takes a little finesse but it is straight forward.
