Roll the fenders in??? Very shortly i will be getting my re 5.5, and some 35's. Ive checked out a bunch of sites on how to trim fenders to fit the 35's, but i dont see how to roll the rear fenders in????? The fronts gonna be no prob, but was wondering if anyone had input on the rear???? pics??? writeup???

The front is a straight cut, don't have to roll the fender in. On the rear you have the "inner fender" and "outer fender". Don't cut above the pinch welds. Make your "vertical" cuts all the way through the first fender crease to the second fender crease. Then use a body work hammer or a straight claw hammer. Using the pointed or claw end pound the inner fender "out" to make the "fold point" then pound the outer fender in until they are both flat. Go around the whole fender working the inner fender fold point first then go around and finnish bending the outer fender flat against the inside. Not good at wording things but I hope you understand what I am saying here.

I did this on the rear of mine as well, very easy once you get the hang of it. For the front, I really wish I would have done the fold as well. The front fender is just thin sheet metal. After cutting away the formed part all thats left is weak metal. The folding would have added strength to the fender as a whole.
My XJ is a fairly clean 01 that I drive every day. I know it will get banged up over the years but the front fenders are like paper now.
Oh yeah- if you plan on reusing your stock fender flares, cut them down on the long end. Flip them over and cut along the mold line to open them up more. I used 3M tape to attach the flare to the body. I first drilled holes in my front bumpers to attach the flares. I wish I hadn't. After owning multiple Scouts, holes equal rust, rust sucks.
