well i shelled out the pinion gear on my 35 about 2 weeks ago, about 15 minutes after i got my new (to me) 33" ltbs on. had the money for another 35 but i know i would just destroy it too and waste money, so ive been waiting for my income tax check to come back (originaly supposed to be here about the same time as it broke) and to shorten it up im about to go insane. my check was supposedly mailed today so i should get my $$ some time next week. i will have enuf for a 8.8, i found one local with 3.55s so i dont have to regear yet. i should have enuf left over for new u bolts too, ive already made the spring perches and shock mounts. soon as i get it its getting welded, the brackets all swaped, and the tubes welded to the housing. about the only good news is that my brother was nice enough to let my borrow his 96 z71 till my xj is back on the road. i just want my jeep back, im sick of driving other vehicles, granted all the others i drive are newer and nicer than my jeep, but they are not my jeep. im about to the point of selling of a kidney or lung so i can get it fixed. anyone else going or gone through this before? i think ill go rob a bank or gas station, i only need about 100 more, maybe some old ladys on the street. well im sorry for all this but i just need to vent to someone.

Before selling a kidney or a lung.... pay just a tad more attention to paragraphs, or at least a Cap on the first letter of the first word in a sentence... etc... and no (or minimal) gang speak).
Typos are fine... I have perfected the art... but that style makes it hard to read. In fact, I skipped most of it.
Help folks help you is all I am saying. ;)

You just have to develop a little patience. Believe me when I say that you will need it after you get your money and begin working on your Jeep. With this hobby, there is quite a bit of "tweek" work involved and this is one attribute that will help keep it fun.
Hang in there ...

sorry about my typing style. the fact that i have a cold with a headache and cant hardly breathe isnt helping me much right now. i might go back and see if i can do some editing to help you and everyone else out.
the "tweek" part is fine, i like working on it. im depressed and out of pateince from the $$ part.

Edit: it wont let me edit it so heres a revised version
I broke the pinion gear on my dana35 about 2 weeks ago. I have the money for another 35 but i know i would just destroy it. Ive searched the local junk yards and found an 8.8 with 3.55s for a good price. All that im waiting on is my income tax check that was supposed to be here 2 weeks ago. This is the longest my jeep has ever been down since ive owned it. Im sick of not getting to drive it everyday and want it fixed. Being sick, having a broken jeep, and not having money is realy starting to suck and im getting depressed from it. I needed somewhere to vent and most normal people would think i was insane for saying a missed my vehicle or was depressed from it.

No worries Kolby. I spell really bad on forums, chat, etc..... Typos? I am good at em too. :) Just offering (hopefully) friendly advice to get your post a better response. Easier on the eyes usually gets more responses. :)

That sucks. But on the up side, consider yourself lucky that your getting money back on your taxes. I am not getting enough to fill my xj with gas back. I don't know how you broke what you did, but if you are wheeling pretty hard then it is not that uncommon. As far as driving another truck, my jeep is only drivable about 1/7th of the time(usually once a week, untill I break it agian.) I know it dosnt help to here this, but try not to get mad and be thankfull when you get your 8.8 put in. After all, you are getting a great up grade in the prosses.

it would help if i wasnt unemplolyed right now also. i would have a job but theres not to many around here besides hard manual labor that i can do. i turn 18 on the 22nd so that should open ALOT of jobs up for me.
it accualy broke on the road this time. i blew up the spiders a few months ago, and didnt have any money so i just welded it up good. but some metal got in the ring and pinion and put some little chips in it. but what destroyed it was one of the 4 bolts that hold the carrier broke and let it move around under deflection. i do wheel it hard so i knew that the fix wouldnt last forever but hopefully till i had money to fix it the right way. it did its job for the most part so i cant be too mad about that.
