dana 30 pinion collar

My dana 30 was leaking at the pinion seal so I pulled it apart to find that the bearing that is closest to the yoke was bad. When I got the bearing out it just fell apart which probably caused the seal to go bad. But anyway, what I am getting at, is that I did not find a crush sleeve/collar between the bearings. Is it missing or is there not one. If there isn't one how do I know how tight to tighten the pinion yoke nut? Maybe the fact that there is not one is why the bearing went bad? This is the first time I have had the pininion out. Any help on this matter would be of great assistance!!! Thanks, Sam

My hp30 uses shims only , no crush sleeve and pinion nut torques to 210 ftlb

how tuff is that to set up, well replace the bearing??
