Someone had mentioned a TSB about an idle air controller modification that would keep it from closing all the way. It helps keep the jeep from stalling out (everything else on the jeep is ok, but the idle is still low enough to stall when the RPMs drop suddenly and the engine is cold). Anyone else done this or know how to?

What year / engine -- I don't remember seeing a TSB, but there are modifications and adjustments that are possible, or it could be things more sinister.

I would love to be able to control it from the dash with a pot. to bring the idle up for winching.....etc....

the idea came from this
There was a TSB about modifying the Idle air controller so it will not close off completely. I had a similar problem to you in January and this is what my dealer mechanic did to fix the problem
That was done on an 88 XJ. I have an 87, so it should work whatever it is. hehe...sinister....i can do sinister.... ;)
