Problem with RPM and Speed od

Every so often my airbag light comes on and the RPM and Speed Od drop to zero and then the airbag light will go off and everything starts working again. Occationally, a thump on the dash will bring it back to life.

BTW, it is a 98 with no engine mods.

Any suggestions?

Mine does the same thing. I called the dealer they told me that the connector in the back of the instrument cluster get dirty and ya have to clean it up. They told me they can do it for 105.00. Sound like maybe I will have it done soon. What do ya think?

I think $105 is ridiculous for something they should make right. Check to see if there's a recall on that. I can't imagine the Feds would be too happy about a bunch of Jeeps driving around with no instruments.
