My girlfriends XJ is having some issues, I havent had the time to really look at it so I figure I'll get some idea's here. Its an '88 with 4.0L, AW4 automatic, pretty much stock.
Anyway, it runs fine and all of a suddden starts to run rough and dies very quickly. Kinda like a bad CPS, however it happens very fast and its speratic. It can be idling and do it, or cruzing down the street. I dont think its done it on the highway yet because she say's it goes away after a few blocks.
About a year ago the CPS was replaced, so in theroy....its good. It also has a new fuel pump and filter.
Any idea's on what might be causing this?
