MAP sensor swap question

I have a 93 with the MAP sensor on the firewall, and I pulled a TB with all sensors from a 96 to bore out. The 96 has the MAP sensor attached to the TB. Is there anyway I can wire the 93 harness to read off the 96, assuming I have proper pigtails? They both have three wire hookups. Is it a matter of cut and splice, or do the sensors send entirely different signals to the CPU?

To the best of my knowledge/exp. the map sensors are the same as far as signal goes, so it should be no problem.

That may be so but can you be sure? The easiest thing would be to keep your existing firewall-mounted MAP sensor, remove the MAP sensor from the '96 TB, and just plug the MAP sensor vacuum hole in the TB with some epoxy. Resell the '96 MAP sensor on e-bay to get some money back.
